Eric Foo's mother robbed and killed

SALAM! Robbed and killed! Is there a pattern here? In two consecutive days, two journalists faced serious crimes, one of which resulted in death. Eric foo of Utusan, an old friend, had her mother killed by robbers. Eric left me a message late last night to say that three Indonesians robber her mother and then killed her. This was in Jemaluang, a small town in Mersing. Last night, Ratna, a producer from Media Prima, was robbed at her house in Kota Dam. Parangs were held to her neck and the robbers left with her laptop, her husband's Macpro (with completed translated work done) and other valuables. This is terrible. Can the police get the culprits ASAP? My deepest condolence to Eric and family.

To IbnAbdHalim,

The Police is also busy taking care of your family and my family. In fact, they have to take care of each and every individual in this country. Can you imagine, everyone from Sabah to Perlis...Wow, that is the hardest job to do, man.

Today's papers said Cheras UMNO chief's house was robbed early in the morning about 4.30. Indons again. cash and jewelery worth 400K gone. No injuries. Crime increasing in our neighbourhood> You don't see police patrolling any more. They are only looking for extra money chasing car drivers for using handsets,no belt etc. How safe is your home ? On the streets, you get snatched ! Robbers want easy money. They can escape instantly to Indonesia.

I find it rather sad that a very senior Malaysian journalist who has apparently taken journalism training from Hawaii, the Press Foundation of Asia in Bangalore, Tokyo, Japan; etc can't even get basic he/she grammar right.

It might be petty, but it is oh-so-obvious, and oh-my embarassing. Sighs.. Malaysian journalism ya.

my wife got robbed a couple of months back at bandar utama while she was in her car at the traffic lights (infront of McD).

while waiting a man was walking next to her car and smash her left car window and took her handbag and wanted to get inside the car!

he just manage to grab the bag as my wife in panick accelerated and hit the car infront of her...

when we make report the police got the cheek to say 'yeah everyday we got case there'!

pls use all yr power to get the police to have more pondok police in this high crime areas today and tell KDN to make sure the police not busy eating or smsing at the pondok but be on full alert
