Isa vs Zulkefly in Bagan Pinang

"Nothing is impossible in politics." (Tiada yang mustahil dalam politik)

If victory is what UMNO wants then Isa is seen as the solution. The end justifies the means. It will be an immediate gratification to UMNO and BN after suffering 8 losses in the bye elections. Ironically, winning can turn into liability as it may give a lasting impression to the people that UMNO is not serious in cleaning up the party.

Lets wait and see whether the so called grassroots voices are translated into votes for UMNO/BN. I do not know of others but I have my reservations. Maybe Tun Mahathir will have his last laugh.

Salam Aidilfitri Datuk.

Itulah namanya Rakyat didahulukan.

While there, I also saw many leaving the place as soon as they heard Isa's name announced as the candidate. They don't look very happy. Most who remained were either his hardcore supporters or outsiders.

Dato',

Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir Batin. My fervent hope Dato' and family had a good celebration.

Well Dato', what can we say about the choice of the BN candidate for the forthcoming by-election? The decision has already been made even though there were a lot of objection to Tan Sri Isa Samad's nomination. Even Tun Mahathir gave his views but alas....the decision lies in the hand of one person, i.e. the Prime Minister.

It looks like UMNO is still aloof and arrogant and simply refuse to face the reality. The truth hurts but then it is better not to be "sulking" later!

The PM has been propogating the need to be clean of corruption...however in this case UMNO "does not walk its talk!" So what is UMNO really talking about? Are they really serious in making the elected representatives to be free of corruption? And that UMNO is serious of eradicating money politics? Very sad!

I believe UMNO had fallen into the "trap" of the opposition, because by Tan Sri Isa being the candidate UMNO/BN can be literally "slaughtered" by the opposition in their ceramah! We had seen this before and here again UMNO makes the same "stupid" mistake repeatedly! I just wonder when UMNO will ever wake up and realise the fact that they need to provide a platform for the younger generation to play a bigger role and to be trained/guided to become future leaders.

If the veterans of UMNO still are greedy to be in power and refuse to allow others to be groomed for the future....I rest my case. However, UMNO should also not make the same mistake as in the last General Election by fielding those from UMNO Youth who had "black" background and were not even present at their respective centres in order to get to be known by those in the constituency. The candidate in the constituency I am staying is guilty of such crime. We do not know who he is and he never bothered to come and meet the people. Such arrogance prevail in UMNO and this had cascade down to UMNO Youth!

Well Dato' I believe UMNO is really charting its own path or course to be doomed soon. As I believe there is a saying in Malay "Si Luncai terjun dengan labu-labunya...biarkan...biarkan." To use this saying in perspective.."UMNO is putting a nail in their own coffin...let them be buried forever." It is really a pity when this happens as there were members of my family who were actively involved in the struggles of UMNO before as well as family members who served in the Armed Forces and Police not only in fighting the communist insurgents but also in helping to maintain the peace after independence. What a waste!!

Kita tunggulah keputusannya nanti.

Sir,

Allow me to throw a voter's intelligence test for the UMNO skeptics.

If you vote in Perak, will you be looking at who UMNO put in Bagan Pinang to determine who you vote for in Perak or do you judge your candidate there by his rate of work for you?

If you vote in Perak based on who we put in Bagan Pinang, Negeri Sembilan, then my friend you deserve the opposition to lead you and I wish you good luck.

I'm sad that many young and intelligent Malaysians can't think for themselves that they leave it to an 85 year old man to poison their minds.

The opposition leader himself is an Ex-Convict who served time for abuse of power while he was the Deputy Prime Minister. The Penang Chief Minister also served time in in the Corrections Centre.

Since UMNO and BN are not clean, and the opposition is even worse, who are you going to vote for? John MCcain and Sarah Palin?

Thank you Sir for allowing me to fit in my " Voter's intelligence Quiz " in here.

Wasallam.

Win or loose is inconsequential for the current moment. A win would only be a 'macho boost' for umno after its loss in Kuala Terengganu. But the actual repercussion of putting up Isa Samad would only be felt come the next general election. Where the opinion of the whole country matters and not just those in Bagan Pinang. If he lose than you can see the beginning of desertion from the governing party. The tainted and opportunist would either cross over or migrate with their bags full of loot! Either way it would be to the benefit of the party by way of automatic cleansing. Since the call for change is ignored i therefore, for the sake of my foolish sentiment for Umno, hope Isa loose, however unlikely. One must not only be clean but seen to be clean. What matters most with the current generation is perception, and that we must beware.
