1 - memang parti itu berpendirian demikian dan mahu meminta lebih jawatan menteri berbanding satu jawatan menteri penuh dan dua timbalan menteri;

2 - ada pihak dalam parti yang mahu pucuk pimpinan parti mendesak PM Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak supaya menambah kerusi untuk MIC;

4 - ada pihak dalam parti main buang batu sembunyi tangan;

Jadi pikiaq lah no.

Salam Datuk,
Apa gunaya KPI tanpa reward? Najib cakap tak serupa bikin. One down bagi KPI Najib.

Salam Dato,

It's not becoming of MIC to demand such things, when the PM is faced with larger issues to which Samyvelu's record of folly is a contributory factor. Najib already hinted at this when in commenting on Samyvelu's re-election as party president remarked that 'members have to be responsible for whom they elect.'

Why is it up to Samy to decide who is to succeed him, rather than the members? What freedom do members have to elect and function as a democracy within the party? Had the likes of S Subramniam who served with such grace, wisdom and distinction under Dr Mahathir been allowed to play their role, would Hindraf have emerged and been used by Pakatan? Why is MIC incapable of articultaing a defense of the BN based on the success of Indian professionals and entreprenuers?

The BN will continue to be weak as long we see Samyvelu's face on TV practically everyday. He hasn't explained the theft of funds given by BN/Govt to MIC. He hasn't allowed leadership talent to surface in the MIC. He continues to defend Tamil schools, and racist politics when the Indians are relatively successful and modern.

Najib's comments and actions are appropriate. Najib has a problem - until MIC vacates Samyvelu and his cohorts and renews itself, it is a liability to BN and the Indian community - and tha's the message of his decisions on the Cabinet. I think he has been too generous -- if I were him, I would have maybe retained only the Human Resources Minister, whose word and actions show some signs of wisdom.

MIC, is a spoil milk, no need to join Pakatan. Let Pakatan be the way it is. MIC is already an irrelevent party to the community. So, who cares what it does?

Saudara A. Talib, you are right MIC's performance is not so hot and it will continue going downhill and I'll say that they absolutely deserve it. For years the power within MIC has been monopolised by one man and his cronies. And money politics is another story altogether. Their current fight for more cabinet positions is probably a desperate attempt to remain relevant to the indian community.
MIC serves as an example of what will happento a political party who will not listen to its people it represents or change with time. UMNO and MCA, though much fortunate, are no better...and soon the time will come, when they too will no longer be relevant to the community they represent.....unless they change...but I dont see the change coming...

Why use gelap for MIC?
You are very colour biased?

Actually you also know the problem.
Its Samy Vellu - not the Indians.

But looks like you never recognise the Indians as part of the Malaysian population nor even bother that they too must imrpove their status in this country.

Maybe you can prove me wrong by referring to all the thoughts you penned in NST for the betterment of the Indians?

By right you should be also on a crusade and join hands with the rest to remove Samy from holding on to power in the MIC.

You know what he has done to the Indians and how the Indians in Malaysia are suffering under him, but he is still using unfair tactics to remain at the helm.

During your tenure in NST you would also have come across information on how he has hoodwinked the Indians here as well as the public with so much wastage of public funds.

Its all because of Samy Vellu only.
You have a way to get him out of the system?

Hello there,

The wayang gelap the blogger refers to is the kind of wayang or movies shown in government quarters, community halls, estates and villages in the '60s and early 70s. This is something like the wayang pacak that sabery cheek always talk about la. Normally, the Filem Negara people come and shw the movies free. When they show the movie, they have to switch off the lghts. So jadi wayang gelap lah...this is a popular phrase in the 60s. I know because i always watch this movie in my estate where my father was the mandore. Whenever the movie come, everyone will converge in my friend Ali's house because his house is the nearest to the community hall!

PAK SAMY VELLU

MIC IS IRRELEVANT WITH YOU AROUND. BUKIT GANTANG BY ELECTION AND THE 12TH GE WAS A PROOF THAT YOU NO LONGER COMMAND THE SUPPORT OF THE INDIAN COMMUNITY. WHAT YOU TALK WERE ONLY RUBBISH AND POLITICALLY MOTIVATED AND EMPTY.
YOUR PLACE TODAY IS THE COLD STORAGE AND WHY NOT CONSIDER TO GIVE YOUR PLACE TO SOMEONE CAPABLE.

PAK SAMY YOU ARE NOT GOING TO LIVE A THOUSAND YEARS.

Samuel,

I know Dato Ahmad, he is color blind lah. He got many Indian friends and he speaks a bit of Tamil also. Don't be so sensitive, ok.

MIC future is gelap if Samy Vellu does not go and if the party does not reconnect with the people, especially the Indian community.

If MIC future gelap, the future of UMNO and BN will be malap.

Let's look beyond trivials, bro Samuel, and work for a One Malaysia.

Dear Proud To Be Malaysian Indian,

I can't publish your comments unless you rewrite and remove the f word. I have no problem publishing it if you remove that word.

As for Tun Mahathir, why yes, he must have had main wayang gelap during his time in office. He's a politician first and last. I believe that every politician must have main wayang gelap for whatever reason or motive, at some point in their life while in and outside office.

TQ

Salam Datuk Ahmad Taib,

I think you have given a fair comment on the wayang gelap MIC trio in Najib's cabinet.Samy Velu is a dead thorn in BN that only glooms in the dark. A liability to BN imdeed and yet tak siuman with his demand for more cabinet posts. If MIC had won Serambau, maybe Najib would have agreed to give in for another MIC Ministerial post.

If Samy wants to blah and betray the other BN partners, he should stick to his guns as he had been opening his big mouth many times over.

Wasn't it true that BN lost Bukit Serambau bacause of Samy velu, the black "kek poh Chi"? I was told that he was barred from campaigning in Serambau, but due to his thick skin, he went on a silent mode and spoilt the mood of the Indian voters. The SB and MI reports made some negative comments on the Indian leader and voting canvassers.

I agree that PM Najib should not see Samy again in the political lobbying tactics. Samy can send his "machai" to see the PM's Political Secretary or COS, at a more convenient time but certainly not at this point in time.

Why can't Samy & Company behave like MCA OTK, CSL, CJM and offer constructive criticism, without any threat? This is the opportune time for Kaveas to open his big mouth, but we have yet to hear his voice since he came back from overseas. Hi Kav, Najib needs your support too, so have some loyalty to UMNO/BN and consider your task as national service. The ones that you hated most is now almost a vegetable on the plate, so "nak tunggu bila lagi Latok!

Hi Dato',
Actually I disagree with this general sentiment by most so-po bloggers that MIC should not be given greater cabinet representation.

I did some analysis of the Bukit Gantang election at http://wengerkhairy.blogspot.com/2009/04/samy-vellu-has-point.html
and can reliably estimate Indian support for BN at about 40%.

If anything, this is an increase from the estimated 25% for the last PRU, the reason being that the PKR alliance could not address the issues faced by the Indian voters, hence bit by bit, some of them began to rejoin the MIC ( This is my theory. )

I think the PM is maybe buying time, waiting for a non-Samy Vellu president to be on board before he gives the MIC a more senior post. After all, judging by the recent results, it is obvious that without at least getting 30% on average non-Malay vote, its quite hard for BN to retain power.

(My personal comment on MIC is not releveant.)

TQ.

Dalam kawasan Parlimen Sungai Siput(U) Perak semasa SV jadi the longest minister served in the world there are 3 permanent jambatan crossing one point to another.
Bila orang kampung tanya "Dato, mana ada sungai kat kampong ni.
SV said proudly (not using his brain of course) "Dalam RM9, saya akan arahkan bina sungai dibawah jambatan tsb..

We do not need this pea brain minister in the cabinet....
