Top MCA leaders must go; get fresh faces

SALAM! I asked MCA vice president Liow Tiong Lai if he would quit his party post. I also suggested to him that all top 3 MCA leaders - Ong Tee Keat, Dr Chua Soi Lek and Liow - should also resign from their party posts since they have collectively not been able to resolve the MCA crisis. Since all 3 have continued to be at loggerheads with each other, they have lost the respect of MCA members. And to some extend, even ordinary voters. If they resign, let the members hold fresh elections and elect new leaders. Of course there will be allegations that each of the 3 will "sponsor" their candidates, but that is another matter. As it is, none of the 3 command majority support of MCA members to the point that they are seen to be ineffective in leading the party. Liow said he was prepared to do so, if this would help restore the MCA's credibility. The MCA have their AGM on March 7, and everyone in the party hope that a solution would be found. Whatever it may be. I still think the 3 top leaders should walk away and let the members decide who they want to lead the 61 year old BN component.

Greetings Datuk,

Whatever you have reported, did not reflect the current MCA crisis/problem.

No way, by tradition the members or the followers of these three leaders will allow your suggestion to materialise. MCA is very much intact.

There is only a small group in the party trying to sabotage the MCA party for their personal agenda.

This group must be exposed and be expelled and the three factions will be united again.

Please call if you wish to have the "INSIGHT" of the MCA crisis. You will be suprised.

Regards,
Tan Sri Robert Phang Miow Sin

Salam Dato. I watched the interview on tv3 yesterday.

My humble opinion is simple.

If we WANT to get rid the history of 2008, then some immediate/quick actions have to be taken.

If we WANT the nightmare of 2008 to repeat again, then dont do anything.

Both, my suggestions apply to any component in BN.

Dato',
Yes they must go to make for fresh faces and ideas. So also those long standing leaders in the various components of BN including UMNO. The MIC is an exception that the whole CEC should go leading the way is of course the President.
With all the KPIs and Transparency set-up etc and what have you, the ordinary citizen still hears of corruption and corrupt practices on going like nobody's business.
How could thousands of illegals stay around, foriegn prostitutes find the market here so lucrative that they could simply jump from one whore house to another despite the so-called raids by the authorities.
We have sufficient laws and regulations, if only they are efficiently and conscientiously enforced we would not have to face so many illegals and their activities.
AS they say "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely."
Malaysia is probably the few countries in the world that holding a political position in a party means wealth.
If BN is serious to regain power come 2013 they must clean up their closet otherwise sayonary!

Dear Tok Mad,

They do not need new leaders but new attitude, new behaviour, new habit, new approach, new thinking and new doctrine.

No new cars, no new mansions, no new contracts, no new bank account, no new `pink forms and no new mistress!!!

And no new cash in new apartment please!!!

Dato....fresh election should be good for MCA but the top three must go....get a respectable veteran MCA leader and a number of new young faces to assist him to put things right again. MCA MUST be strong again or they will perish after PRU 13!
