Eric Foo's mother robbed and killed
SALAM! Robbed and killed! Is there a pattern here? In two consecutive days, two journalists faced serious crimes, one of which resulted in death. Eric foo of Utusan, an old friend, had her mother killed by robbers. Eric left me a message late last night to say that three Indonesians robber her mother and then killed her. This was in Jemaluang, a small town in Mersing. Last night, Ratna, a producer from Media Prima, was robbed at her house in Kota Dam. Parangs were held to her neck and the robbers left with her laptop, her husband's Macpro (with completed translated work done) and other valuables. This is terrible. Can the police get the culprits ASAP? My deepest condolence to Eric and family.

Top MCA leaders must go; get fresh faces
SALAM! I asked MCA vice president Liow Tiong Lai if he would quit his party post. I also suggested to him that all top 3 MCA leaders - Ong Tee Keat, Dr Chua Soi Lek and Liow - should also resign from their party posts since they have collectively not been able to resolve the MCA crisis. Since all 3 have continued to be at loggerheads with each other, they have lost the respect of MCA members. And to some extend, even ordinary voters. If they resign, let the members hold fresh elections and elect new leaders. Of course there will be allegations that each of the 3 will "sponsor" their candidates, but that is another matter. As it is, none of the 3 command majority support of MCA members to the point that they are seen to be ineffective in leading the party. Liow said he was prepared to do so, if this would help restore the MCA's credibility. The MCA have their AGM on March 7, and everyone in the party hope that a solution would be found. Whatever it may be. I still think the 3 top leaders should walk away and let the members decide who they want to lead the 61 year old BN component.

PKR hilang seorang lagi MP
