BUM '09 in pictures








I CAUGHT the tail end of BUM '09 on Saturday. I saw quite a number of bloggers and journalists at the annual All-Blogs event. I wish I had attended the whole day's session. The theme put forward this year was - mainstream media and new media: Have they failed us? You can judge for yourself whether the new media have failed you. As for the mainstream media, I'd go a step back and ask this question - MSM: Have they failed themselves? Here are some pictures I took during my brief attendance there.

    Congratulations. I've always known that they'll bring you back.
    I have one suggestion: Introduce KPI system on everyone. Just like us in the govt. Sapa2 tak perform, should leave.

    Datuk, I notice a picture of Dr. Lim Teck Ghee in one of the tables. He's a Malaysian intellectual I have high regard for but unfortunately being 'punished' by the Malaysian government's parochial attitudes. While Malay intellectuals' input of 1 Malaysia concept is dreadfully lagging and lacking behind Najib's big mouth slogan, are Semenanjung intellectuals dyfunctional in 1 Malaysia( or prefer to remain quiet) less axed out by THE Administration? I wonder.
