Once I was flying off with some travel agents to Bangkok and while having a smoke outside with one of the travel agents who happened to be Chinese, we were approached by a woman from China. Claiming she had been on holiday in Sabah, she said she had finished all her money and her flight was delayed so she didn't have any money for food. If only we weren't about to fly off...then I'd say we'd have had a fair exchange for the money. Anyway we turned down her request. Another time when I was in the car park, I was approached by an old gentleman who claimed he was from Ipoh and had just sent off a friend. He didn't have enough money for petrol for the journey back because his friend had accidentally taken his wallet. He even gave his mobile number for me to call to claim my money back. I was in a generous mood and my RRM50 and I were soon parted. Since I sometimes donate more than that to other causes, I chose to think that my RM50 had done some good. So Datuk, while I sympathise with your loss, maybe it is fated that you are destined for a faster & better notebook. A few months after...Well, it happened to me before. A few months after the robbery case in KLIA. I was fetching my hubby in between gate 5 or 6. Since there were too many cars, I could not park by the kerb side, I did a "double park" beside a mercedes, 1 car behind where my hubby was standing. The room between these 2 cars just enough for 1 person to pass through.

I was waiting inside the car. My hubby also cannot push his trolly near my car since so many people with their cart on the kerb side. So he needs to carry all bags by hand, one by one. First he took his golf set and laptop, put outside the car (towards the back). When I noticed this, I went out and take care of his laptop. I waited until he come back with his luggages. At that time, I put my handbag in betweeen the two front seat (dekat celah ruang antara driver & front passenger seat, this is my security measure since I read a lot about people snatched bags from the front passenger seat seat). All car doors were closed tightly since we double parked.

Then my hubby and I arranged the luggages in the boot. Both of us put our heads inside the boot to arrange the extra size golf set. It took only 10-15 seconds. Then I moved to the front passenger seat and let my hubby settled the rest. On the way, I bumped to a lady (about late 40s, wearing a tudung labuh (she didn't look like a passenger at all). With baju kurung and kain which didn't match. She looked surprise when she saw me walking towards the front. I made way so that she can pass through the small lane. Being a habit, the first thing when I came in, I looked for my handbag first. There was nowhere to be found. I looked back to find that makcik, she also disappeared.

Then my hubby realised, this lady was watching his trolly before (when he made 1st trip to send the golf set, and walked back to the trolly, this lady was wandering around his trolly looking for something). Then when my hubby made a 2nd trip to the car, he saw these lady on our left side (between my car and the mercedes, he passed through her, and heard she was talking to another makcik on the other side (outside the driver side). but he couldn't understand the language the were talking, definitely not malay he said.

At that moment I knew, they have taken my handbag. There goes everything. Nothing I could do. Then I approached a traffic police and told him the story. He asked me to lodge a report upstairs and cancelled the credit cards first. urrgghhhh nothing could describe my frustrations (This is the 2nd time, the 1st time - I was pick-pocket in Rome, Italy - in a train by a group of teenage girls). I went to the police and made a report. They said this is the 1st time they heard of such modus operandi and they suspected the makciks were kabayan (few weeks before that there's another case where 2 ladies took a handbag from a passenger near the check in counter). So I asked them to view a cctv. The police asked airport security but the answer is none. There was no record. I just want to see/ confirm who took my handbag.

errrgghhhh ... tension ... masalah lepas tu yang payah. gone 1 day leave to settle new ic, new licence, new credit cards, new so many things and all these come with costs.

Lucky I didnt bring so much money that night (it happened around 9pm somthing, I think - couldt remember the exact time). I lost a coach handbag which cost thousand, a nokia communicator, 1 bunch of house keys (need to change the key since they know the address as well), credit cards, wallets, aaahhh you name it. Lucky my iphone was outside the handbbag.

Now I use a cheap handbag, sling over my body - everywhere. dont care about the fashion anymore.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3026991266397572875.post-43849983524616089142009-02-19T05:29:00.000+08:002009-02-19T05:29:00.000+08:00Even the policemen are not patrolling.
